At the turn of the Gregorian calendar year, for those who follow this convention, we want to unite with Gaza Birds Singing whose pride and resistance bring to us this ancient string of Palestinian songs.
At the dawn of a new year,
we hang our hearts on an ancient string… and we sing.We present this Palestinian folk song as a gift to the world,
from Birds of Gaza Sing,
in collaboration with the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music.Despite hardship and all surrounding circumstances,
we hold on to music,
and we hold on to our Palestinian heritage—
a heritage that does not fade, end, or dissolve.This voice is an act of patience.
This melody is a form of resistance.
A message of life that says:
We are here… and we are still singing.
The key in this work is not just a symbol—
it is the memory of a home,
a promise of return,
and a right that never expires.

وبمشاركة معهد إدوارد سعيد الوطني للموسيقى.رغم القسوة، ورغم كل الظروف،
نتمسّك بالموسيقى،
ونتمسّك بتراثنا الفلسطيني
الذي لا يتبدّد، ولا ينتهي، ولا يذوب.هذا الصوت فعلُ صبر،
وهذا اللحن شكلٌ من أشكال المقاومة،
ورسالة حياة تقول:
نحن هنا… وما زلنا نغنّي.
بل ذاكرة بيت، ووعد عودة،
وإشارة إلى حقّ لا يسقط بالتقادم.
اللحن التراثي يحمل حكايات الأرض،
وخطوات الأجداد،
وأصوات البيوت التي ما زالت تسكن فينا.مع بداية عامٍ جديد،
نجدّد إيماننا بأن الموسيقى ذاكرة وهوية،
وبأن التراث الفلسطيني باقٍ
